What was once discarded material in Sweden is transported by ship and fully regenerated in Japan. MODECO and Spira have collaborated to bring meaningful merchandise to market. We will continue to introduce dead stock textiles from Northern Europe into new possibilities in Japan.

Social Issues この素材が抱える社会問題

Dead stock material is always an issue for the clothing and fashion industry.

This collaboration with Spira is a small step in the right direction of up-cycling and finding new ways to tackle an ever-present problem. Without inventive use of discarded materials, all this would otherwise end up in a landfill somewhere. And we just can’t let a good opportunity go to waste.
